Indian equity markets opened tad higher amid positive Asian cues. Indices extended gain in first hour of trade led by buying in Financial stocks. On the other hand selling pressure seen in Auto stocks in opening session.

Markets remained lackluster rest of the day and stock specific activity was seen. European markets also opened in positive zone. However, local markets remained in doldrums despite positive global cues and strong rupee against US dollar.
