Dhanalakshmi Bank earned a profit of Rs 4.4 crore

Mumbai. Dhanalakshmi Bank returned to profitability in the third quarter of the current fiscal year is. The bank's net profit in the quarter ended December 31, 2012 reached Rs 4.4 crore. Dhanalakshmi Bank's net loss in the same quarter the previous year was Rs 37 crore.
October-December 2012, the Bank's net interest income rose 17.2 per cent to Rs 75 crore. NII was Rs 64 crore in December 2011.
However, the bank's gross NPAs rose 4.19 per cent quarter on quarter rose 62 basic points. Net NPAs rose by 43 basic points to 2.93 percent. Dhanalakshmi Bank shares rose 3.07 per cent on BSE is trading at Rs 65.50.
