Spot jeera prices were almost flat as demand was very limited. Arrival was also declined in this time. Market will be normal next week, said traders. At Unjha mandi of Gujarat, jeera arrival decreased from 36,000 bags to 25,000 bags; price stood at `1,800-2,000 for a maund of 20 kg and best quality jeera was `2,100-2,200. Similarly, in Rajkot, arrival was down from 2,500 bags to 1,500 bags and price was quoted at `1,800-1,900. Traders said that domestic demand is likely to decrease next week. On the other hand, exporters’ buying may increase. However, price movement will not be much as this year production is high.
