Japan to import 93,000 tons feed barley via tender

Japan's Ministry of Agriculture said it would import 93,000 tons of feed-quality barley for livestock use via a simultaneous buy-and-sell (SBS) auction that closed late on Wednesday. The ministry sought 120,000 tons of feed wheat and 200,000 tons of feed barley to be loaded by Dec. 31 and for arrival in Japan by Feb. 27, 2015 in the tender, which is usually conducted weekly.
