Epic Asian Markets Update

Asian markets were trading mixed. China’s Shanghai Composite was flat at 2,194.34.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng was up 0.64% or 122.59 points at 19,147.86.

Japan’s Nikkei was down 0.18% or 16.34 points at 8,857.77.

Singapore’s Straits Times rose 0.91% or 25.83 points at 2,872.65.

South Korea’s Seoul Composite fell 0.22% or 4.01 points at 1,815.17.

Taiwan’s Taiwan Weighted was up 0.44% or 31.45 points at 7,201.06.

Asian stocks capped the biggest weekly gain since January as euro-zone leaders agreed to relax conditions for recapitalizing lenders and amid speculation China will do more to shore up growth. The advance pared the regional benchmark index’s first quarterly loss since September
