Maruti considers moving part production to Gurgaon

Labour unrest at Maruti Suzuki ’s Manesar plant has led to a shut down of operations for the past few days, hurting the company’s production of diesel cars. So as to ensure that production is not hampered further, the management is considering to shift part of their production, probably the Swift and the Swift DZire, to their Gurgaon plant, reports CNBC-TV18’s Ronojoy Banerjee.

The management met yesterday afternoon at the Gurgaon facility to try and strategize the way forward because it doesn’t seem like the Manesar facility is going to resume operations anytime soon. What the management tried to discuss was how to ensure that the diesel production is not hampered.
