The 30-share BSE Sen*** shed 129 points or 0.74% to end at 17,392, while the broader Nifty index declined 42 points to 5,275. Markets closed off the day's low, with the Sen*** gaining nearly 50 points from the intraday low. The rupee, too, traded had pulled back after breaching the 56 to the dollar mark in intraday trade.
